Luke 1:31-32 - I am Great

You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

Exposition
The angel told Mary, you will have a son and he will be great. There is no doubt that our knowledge and encounter with Jesus showed the greatness of the Master, Jesus. Synonyms of greatness include eminence, distinction and reputation.
However in the world today more often than not greatness is now equated with wealth only.
Based on the word of God, you have the seed of greatness inside of you. John 1: 12 says that but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
The seed of greatness is inside you because you have the DNA of Jesus within you. Remember that Christ in you the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27). You are born again. You have the Holy Spirit inside you, the spirit of greatness.
You are designed to be great. The environment you live in or the circumstances that surround you have nothing to do with the potential that is inside you. You are designed to impact the world. After you are long gone, the world is meant to remember that you once lived here. Your expected end is greatness. According to Jeremiah 29:11, that is the thought that God has for you. Go for it.

Prayer
I identify with the greatness of my Father today. It will be said concerning me, like my father Jesus, like son or daughter in Jesus name. Help me Lord to nurture the seed of greatness inside me. Let every step I take from this day be a step towards greatness in Jesus name. I reject every contrary word that has been spoken into my life in Jesus name.
