John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Prayer

Help me to remember what you have said to me in the past.
Help me to hear when you speak.
Help me to locate the peace that is in you.
As I can only find tribulation from following the ways of the world, Lord help me to do things your way.
Let me walk in the victory you have already secured on the cross of Calvary.
Thank you father for I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen

Nahum 1:12-13

Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.

Prayer

Father, I ask that you remember me today, visit me and cut down very agent of the devil troubling me in every area of my life.
As you have promised, let affliction come to an end in my life.
Let your peace envelope me in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen

Nahum 1:8-9

But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

Prayer

Lord let a flood overrun and pursue all those who are pursing me.
Make an end of every enemy including wherever they are blessed.
I cancel every arrow of affliction sent my way by the devil and his agents.
Make a complete end of every plan of the devil for me and all that concerns me.
Thank you father, in Jesus’ name.

Nahum 1:7

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Prayer

Father, you are good and your mercies endure forever.
You are my present help in times of trouble.
You have never lost a battle. Impregnable you are.
I honour you with my whole heart, even as I am sure you know those whose eyes are on you.Amen

1 Kings 19:11-12

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Prayer

Lord you appear in different forms and you speak in different ways.
With all my heart, I pray, show me how to recognise your presence.
Let me not be distracted by my circumstances, such that I will not recognise your presence.
When you speak, let me hear, let me be sensitive to your voice.
Thank you for answering my prayers in Jesus name. Amen.

Jonah 1:1-3

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

Prayer

Father, when you speak to me, let me hear.
Let nothing tamper with what I hear from you.
As I hear, let me have a heart of obedience.
Let me never ever depart from your presence.
Thank you for your grace in Jesus name. Amen

Ezra 7:10

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

Prayer

I pray for a heart to study your word and hear your word.
I pray for a desire to do what your word says.
I pray to be able to be a good example in all things to the people I am in contact with.
I pray that as the word blesses me, I will be on the look out to bless others with the word that is in me.
Thank you father for the revelation you give me through your word. Amen

Ezra 4:1-3

Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the LORD God of Israel;
Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither.
But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.

Prayer

Lord, help me to be sensitive to agents of the devil who come in as friends but are wolves in sheep’s clothing.
As you have not given me a spirit of fear, I receive boldness to be able to confront the enemy.
As the enemy is out to destroy my work, I release confusion into every gathering against me and my destiny.
In whatever I have started in your house, or in my life, grant me the grace to complete it in Jesus name. Amen

2 Kings 1:10

And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

Prayer

I am your child, a son of the Most High.
Let your fire come down from heaven and consume every agent of the devil on assignment against me.
Thank you for backing me up. Amen

2 Chronicles 14:2-3

And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:
For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:

Prayer

Lord help me to do what is good and right in your sight. Let my heart be focused on pleasing you rather than men.
Where evil exists, let me be a force for change, a battle axe unto you destroying the works of the kingdom of darkness and releasing your light that is in me.
Lord let your name be glorified. Amen

1 Samuel 2:9-10

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Prayer

Lord, I bless your holy name.
Keep my feet from every possible misstep.
Protect me from every pit the enemy has dug for me and all that concerns me.
Let every agent of the wicked be silent and cause darkness to cover their movements. Release blindness and confusion into the camp of the enemy.
I am totally dependent on you. I do not have any powers of my own.
Let every adversary be broken and blown to pieces in the name of Jesus.
Let thunder fall upon every agent of the devil operating against me and my interests.
Judge my adversaries.
Strengthen me for the battles ahead.
By your grace, I will not be weary. Thank you, Almighty father, in Jesus name. Amen

1 Samuel 2:6-8

The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

Prayer

My Lord and Master, the power of life and death is in your hands.
Wherever the devil and his agents have programmed death for me, it is nullified because my life is not in their hands.
Lord, lift me up where I am down. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, bless me, I know you want me to prosper, set me up on high where you have purposed me to be.
You are the king of glory. Let your glory surround me and all that is mine.
You created the heavens and the earth, let me find my place here on earth.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

1 Samuel 2:3-4

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

Prayer

I give thanks to you father because you are my all sufficient God.
Just as you did for Hannah, you have shut the mouths of my enemies with the blessings you continue to bestow unto me.
Lord you know everything, you know the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning.
You have rendered my enemies powerless.
When I am tired, you take my weakness and give me strength.
I appreciate you father. Amen

1 Samuel 2:1-2

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Prayer

Father, I rejoice because I am yours.
I boast of who you are to me, my Lord and Master.
You are the lifter up of my head. The devil laid traps for me, but you caused the traps to catch those who laid them.
I rejoice because you saved me from the clutches of the devil. I thank you because by your grace I walk in victory over the devil and his agents.
You are holy Lord, you are faithful. There is no variableness or turning in you.
Thank you for being my God. Amen

2 Peter 1:3

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Prayer

Lord I thank you for your power which has given me all things that I need to take me through life.
I thank you for the things you have given me that will enable me to live a godly life.
I pray that my focus will be on you, my knowledge of you and my knowledge of my place in you will continually grow.
Lord I do not want to perish in emptiness.
Father I pray that your glory will be seen in me and your virtues will show forth in my life.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

2 Corinthians 8:9

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Prayer
Thank you father for all you have given up for me.
Thank you for the riches you gave up so that I am now rich in everything.
Thank you for your grace that abounds over me. Amen

2Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Prayer

I pray that whenever I come into contact with scripture it will be beneficial to me.
I pray that I will take to correction from the word of God as I continually clean up my act.
I also pray that as I continue to study the scriptures I would start to live a life of righteousness.
I pray that in the scriptures I would find all I need that would prepare me to be who God wants him to be, a perfect man of God. Amen

1 Peter 3:15

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Prayer

Father I ask that you teach me how to sanctify you in my heart.
Help me to honour you at all times, help me to trust in you at all times.
Help me to understand who I am in you, such that whenever the situation arises where I have to talk about you, I will be ready.
I will say what I have to say with boldness, not fear and you will back me up.
In speaking about you to people, let humility be transparent in me so people will be drawn to you.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Prayer

Your word says that without faith it is impossible to please you.
It also says that I have been justified by faith.
I certainly need faith to enjoy what you have done for me and also importantly to make heaven.
Help me to hear you, and hear you well indeed. Then whatever I hear you say, help me to do it.
Thank you in Jesus name. Amen

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Prayer

I pray that I will be in a position to hear you all the time.
I pray that what I hear will remain inside of me.
I pray that the word in me will profit me greatly and it will be useful in teaching and correcting the people around me.
I also pray that the word will bring me to a better place in Christ Jesus, such that his grace will fill my heart even as I talk to my father.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

1 Corinthians 2:16

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Prayer

Father thank you for the grace to know your mind.
I pray that as I seek you, I will find you.
I pray that as I study your word, I will understand what you want me to know.
My desire is to stay continually in your presence.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

John 17:17

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Prayer

As I submit to you, let your word continue to sanctify me.
Let your word cleanse me and bring renewal to my spirit.
I pray that I would find the truth in your word and my natural mindset would be transformed.
Thank you for the word of life. Amen

Matthew 4:4

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Prayer

Father I know that I must not live to eat alone, my spiritual body has to be fed as well.
Direct me to where I would always come in contact with your word.
Help me as I process what I hear or what I read in the bible.
I must not be far from your word.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

Genesis 4:26

And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

Prayer

Men and women too have been calling upon the name of the Lord from the time of Adam.

Your name is a strong tower of protection.

The righteous run into the tower and they are safe.

Hear my cry today, answer me.

I ask for your comforting arm round about me.

I trust in your name.

Make a way for me.

Lead me along the paths of righteousness.

Do me well. Thank you father in Jesus’ name. Amen

Ephesians 2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Prayer

I thank you because you have created me in Christ Jesus for good works.

I pray that I will be able to do the good as my father wants.

I pray that wherever darkness is, I will do good instead.

I pray that I will be able to follow the footsteps for Christ.

Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

2 Corinthians 2:15-17

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Prayer

Lord I bless your name today.

I thank you because it is not by my power that I am a sweet savour of Christ unto you. I know that anything I do is by your grace.

I pray that at every opportunity to talk about Jesus I will, and the hearts of those I speak to, will receive Christ and eternal life.

For those I speak to and who decide to shun your word, I pray for mercy for them.

I also pray that I will never corrupt the word of God by adding things to it, or knowingly interpreting the word in a way that will suit my own personal purposes.

I ask for help in speaking only what the Spirit of God leads me to say.

Thank you father in Jesus’ name. Amen

2 Corinthians 2:14

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Prayer

Thank you father for enabling me to be victorious in Christ.

Without Christ I cannot do anything. You have made me more than a conqueror.

I also thank you because you have chosen me to exhibit your power in every place.

I am willing to be your ambassador, back me up all the time for your name to be glorified.

Let the devil and his agents know that God Almighty is with me.

Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

John 5:19-20

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

Prayer

Lord, I do not have any power of my own.

Stir me to remember what you have done in the past, let me see what you are doing now, I want to know what will happen in the future.

I need this information father, because I want to do only the things you will do.

I remember you saying that I would do greater things than what you have done.

Thank you for loving me.

Continue to show me the great things you have done for the world to know you are Almighty.

Galatians 6:9-10

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Prayer

Give me a heart that loves to do good.

I pray this day that the grace to continue to do good to my fellow man will abound on me.

I pray that nothing, physical or spiritual will stop me reaping where I have sown.

I pray that I will only do good and not evil to people as I do not want to reap evil.

I pray that my eyes will be wide open to the opportunities that abound for me to be a blessing to people, especially those of my faith.

Galatians 6:7-8

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Prayer

Lord let it sink into my spirit that sowing and reaping is a divine principle.

Help me to sow into profitable things.

I want to be led by your spirit.

Lord let every form of carnality in me die, so I wouldn’t be able to sow to such stuff.

With your help I will start to sow to the Spirit and I will reap a place in heaven.

Galatians 6:6

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Prayer

Lord, help me to adhere to your word that says I must let all my bible teachers know the impact of their teaching on my life.

Bless me with good things so that I will be a blessing to them.

Use me to meet the needs of my teachers.

Thank you for all the teachers you have sent my way.

I must not only be a hearer, I must be a doer too. Amen
