Proverbs 22:29 - I will stand before kings

Do you see a man skilful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before mean men.

Prayer

Lord grant me the skills and intellect that will take me places.
Teach me to be prepared at all times, help me to pursue with all My heart all I need for success.
Help me to walk in excellence.
I will not be slothful, I reject the spirit of slothfulness in every area of my life.
As you increase me on every side, I pray and believe you will lift me up, I will stand and keep the company of kings and princes.
They will favour me and I will favour them too.
You did it for Joseph, do it for me too O Lord.
By your grace I will not stand before mean men.

1 Corinthians 5:11 - Help me to associate with good people

But now I am writing to you to stop associating with any so-called brother if he is sexually immoral, greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunk, or a robber. You must even stop eating with someone like that.

Prayer

Lord per chance I still have any of these habits, I must stop them, take them away now in Jesus name.
Help me Lord as I determine to stop associating with such people.
You have said I should flee from every appearance of evil.
Thank you father in Jesus name, Amen.

Matthew 7:11 - He always answers

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Prayer

Lord I am your child, as my father you have promised that I should ask and it will be given to me.
You have always given me good things.
Today I ask in your infinite mercy, that you open new doors of favour unto me and all that are with me.
For all who read this piece, open the windows of heaven unto them.

Proverbs 13:20 - I want to walk with wise men

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Prayer

Teach me wisdom O God. Incline my heart to wisdom. Help me as I desire to walk in wisdom.
Help me as I go the extra mile to seek out wise men.
By your grace let them accept me into their fold.
Let my conversation be about deep and spiritual things that will bring spiritual growth into my life.
I do not want to be destroyed, help me to run away from foolish people.
Thank you my Lord and my God. I have prayed in the wonderful name of Jesus. Amen.

Genesis 19:16 - Lay hold of me O God

And he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lotd being merciful into him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city:

Prayer

Help me to realise I am lingering whenever I am in that state.
Turn my heart away from the old and the past, to the new and the better you have in store for me.
You are the fountain of mercy, be merciful to me and all that is mine.
You are the Lord of hosts of heaven. Release the hosts I pray, let them lay hold of me and pull me away from every situation I am not meant to be in.

Lamentations 3: 31-32 - His loving kindness

For the Lord will not cast off forever.
For though He cause grief yet will He have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies.

Prayer

I thank you Father because out of your loving kindness you have cast me off forever.
You have not allowed me to die in my sin.
In your covenant loving kindness you have drawn ny heart back to you.
I am back in the family, I have been washed clean by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
I am free, I thank you, I have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

James 1:17 - Good and perfect gifts from God

Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Prayer

Thank you because I can call you father.
Thank you for all your gifts to me, they are good and perfect. Remission of my sons, a new life in you, righteousness, love, life itself, I can go on and on.
Father of light, you are light itself, darkness has no place in you and therefore in me.
I give you praise in Jesus name. Amen

Hebrews 5:14 - Meat of the word

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Prayer

Help me to discern good from evil. Help me to do good and appreciate good.
Give me a heart that knows what is evil and runs away from it.
It is time for me to eat the strong meat of the word.

Hebrews 5:13 - I desire spiritual growth

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

Prayer

Lord I do not want to be a spiritual baby any longer. To become who I am ordained to be, I want to become skilled in the word, I do not want to live a life of ignorance.
Help me O God. Let your grace abound towards me.

1 John 5:21 - No idol worship

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen

Prayer

Help me to put you above everything in my life. You have said I must have no other god.
Lord help me to identify everything in my life that has a potential to become an idol.
Help me not to adore any but you. Help me to keep my heart clean and clear.
Thank you father, I have prayed in Jesus name, Amen.

Romans 3:4A - He is true to his word

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;

Prayer

I appreciate you this day and I give you praise.
I thank you Lord for you are true to your words, constant and faithful.
Man cannot be compared to you.
All you have said has always come to pass and will always come to pass.
Thank you father for your steadfastness towards me and all that concerns me.
I have prayed in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Proverbs 6:2 - Be careful of what I say

Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Prayer

Help me O God to be particular about the things I say.
Help me to think before any words come out of my mouth.
Out of your grace, where I have already said things I shouldn't have said, I ask that you provide am escape route for me in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you father for your loving kindness and protection, today and always. Amen.

1 John 5:18 - Help me to know who I am

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Prayer

I was a sinner but out of your grace I am your child because I repented of my sins and accepted Jesus as saviour.
I ask this day that the nature of sin be dead completely in me. Let my new heart hate and run away from sin.
Help me to keep away from sin and every appearance thereof.
I know it is part of your covenant to protect me from the wicked one.
Thank you from your loving kindness.
I have prayed in Jesus name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 5: 7 - Faith is key

For we walk by faith, not by sight

Prayer

Grant me the grace to look up to you for my salvation, my righteousness, my peace of mind and for all I need.
Help me to live for the unseen things, give me the grace not to depend on the seen, the money, prestige and the adulation of the people around me.
Incline my heart to believe you and the promises that are attached to believing.
Thank you my Lord and King, I have prayed in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1 John 5:14-15 - My confidence

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Prayer

Lord teach me your will. Help me to live according to your will. Let your desires be my desires.
Thank you for your promise of hearing my prayers. Whatsoever I ask.....
This is my confidence.

1 John 5:11-13 - I believe

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Prayer

Thank you father for giving us eternal life through your son, Jesus Christ.
I am blessed because I have Jesus: I believe Jesus is the son of God, I believe in His name.
Yes I have life.
Thank you for the heart to believe, thank you for grace. Glory be to you. Amen.

1 John 5:4-5 - I am an overcomer

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Prayer

Jesus Christ came and conquered. I believe He is your son. I have accepted Him as my Lord and Saviour.
Thank you father for accepting me as your son.
By your grace I walk in the faith that I am an overcomer.
Thank you Sir for greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.
I am truly blessed. Amen.

1 Timothy 5:8 - I will not deny the faith

But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Prayer

Lord help so I can provide for my own.
Help me to meet all my responsibilities.
I ask that you open doors of blessing and favour unto me.
As you bless me, teach me so I would use my resources wisely.
Lord let your name be glorified.

1 Timothy 6:12 - Fight the good fight

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Prayer

Help me to understand that the enemy is out to destroy my faith both openly and also in a subtle manner where possible.
The weapons are there: help me to use them effectively.
Grant me the grace to store up your word in my heart.
Help me to rely on your word to fight and win.
Thank you my father, I have prayed in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Psalm 138:2 - His promises are important to Him

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Prayer

Lord I worship and I give you praise.
I thank you for your love that abounds over me. I thank you and I appreciate you for your unending mercies towards me.
Thank you father for confirming to me that the words you have spoken are very important to you, such that whenever I use the words in prayer, my answer is certain.
Lord you are wonderful, I have prayed in Jesus name, Amen

Psalm 119:11 - Hide the word

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Prayer

Help me as I begin to understand the importance of hiding your word in my heart.
Help me O God as I set out time to read and memorize your word.
Help me my father because temptation will always come.
Just as Jesus Christ said “it is written”, grant me that grace to say the same thing and mean it too.
Thank you Lord, I have prayed in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 119:105 - I must use the free Sat Nav

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Prayer

Help me O Lord to use the free navigation tool you have provided for me.
Help me, show me, teach me as I dig into your word, so my pathway of life will be illuminated.
Let your word be a means to overcoming every barrier placed by the enemy.
Light and darkness cannot coexist, let your word lighten my life defeating darkness in Jesus name. Amen.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 - Nothing will pollute my mind

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Prayer

Lord open my eyes and my mind to the war I am involved in.
Help me to depend on you for the effectiveness of the weapons given to me.
Help me to start to walk and believe that your word is supreme and it will always come to pass.
Help me to keep away from places or things that are programmed to pollute my mind.
I therefore refuse every thought that is not in line with the word of God.
Thank you father for the abundance of grace towards me.
