Nehemiah 5:14

Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.

Prayer

Help me so I do not succumb to all temptation.
Help me to be firm, overcoming natural greed or the need to please people rather than the Almighty God.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 5:13

Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

Prayer

Lord by your grace I will not be shaken out of my house, ministry or my church.
Help me to fulfil all my vows and promises.
Help me to remember all that I have said and help me to do them all.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 5:5

Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

Prayer

Jesus Christ took captivity captive.
I refuse to be held captive in any shape or form from this day in Jesus name.
Every person – spiritual or human that is trying to, or has held me down, I ask for fire from on high to speed my permanent release in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 4:9

Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

Prayer

Lord help me, my heart must be attuned to prayer. Before things happen, when they happen, let prayer be my first reaction.
Help me to pray without ceasing.
Thank you for the grace in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 4:7-8

But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,
And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

Prayer

It is written that surely they will gather but not by you.
Let every evil gathering against me and all of mine scatter in Jesus name.
Let every conspiracy against me come to nothing in Jesus name.
I ask that the hosts of heaven start to hinder every hindrance planned against me in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 2:12

And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.

Prayer

Help me to be focused on the assignment at hand doing all I can to ensure success.
Help me to know when I should open my mouth and when I should keep it shut to prevent premature publicity.
Thank you for answered prayers in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 2:10

When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.

Prayer

I pray that all who will hear good news about me and be sad, let the sadness destroy them in Jesus name.
I ask father that the reaction of Sanballat – like people must attract the fire of the Holy Ghost to bring utter destruction on such people in Jesus name. Amen.

Nehemiah 2:5

And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.

Prayer

Let there be a stirring inside me to build up the kingdom, people and the nation rather than do things which would destroy.
A desire to do selfless things that will bring glory to the name of the Lord. Amen.

Nehemiah 1:11

O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.

Prayer

Lord be attentive to my prayers.
I ask that you cause favour to come my way.
All you have ordained to help me, nothing will stop them in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 90:12

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Prayer

Lord make me conscious of time, so that the days, hours and minutes will not just pass by.
Help me to remember at all times that I will give account of what I have done with my time.
I pray that procrastination is a thing of the past in Jesus name.
Help me to be wise in all things.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen.

Luke 9:2

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Prayer

I will obey you, from today nothing will stop me from preaching the good news about what Jesus Christ did for the world on the cross of cavalry.
Help me to use what you have given me – the power to heal the sick from today in Jesus name. Amen.

Luke 9:1

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Prayer

By faith I receive the power and authority over all devils, seen and unseen, known and unknown.
By His grace I will be bold and I will speak the word of God and expel devils wherever they are oppressing the children of God.
Lord you have promised to back me up. Therefore the sick will be healed and diseases will be expelled from the bodies of your people in Jesus name.

Luke 9:62

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Prayer

Lord I pray that as I have decided to follow you all the days of my life, I will not turn back during the journey of life.
I pray that no matter what happens your grace is sufficient for me at all times.
I am on the way to heaven.

Luke 6:12

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Prayer

Lord grant me the grace to tarry in the place of prayer just as Jesus Christ did. Amen

Proverbs 24:10 - Challenges

If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

Prayer

Help me to exhibit the strength in times of trouble.
I pray nothing will weigh me down, rather I will grow from strength to strength in Jesus name.

Psalm 18:28

LORD, you have brought light to my life; my God, you light up my darkness.

Prayer

Thank you for bringing light into my life.
Without you I was operating in darkness, I did not even know, my eyes and heart were blinded.
You found me and I received you by grace.
Your light will continue to draw me nearer every moment in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 20:7

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Prayer

Help me to depend on you and on you alone.
Help me to remember that you have been around from the beginning and you will not suddenly disappear. There is nothing you do not know and there is nothing too hard for you to do.
You do not change.
You name is healing, power, protection, safety, provision and love.
My Lord and my God, I will trust you until the very end.
Thank you father, in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 37:31

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

Prayer

As I consciously place the word of God in my heart, I ask God to help me such that His word will be my life compass.
I pray I will never fall, rather the hand of Jehovah will uphold me until the very end in Jesus name. Amen

Ecclesiastes 10:8

He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

Prayer

Everyone that has dug a pit, built a wall or a barrier against me shall be fall into them in Jesus name.
All who stray into my territory shall be met by the hosts of heaven in Jesus name. Amen

Revelation 4:11

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Prayer

You are worthy to be praised, Almighty God.
I exist to praise you, Alpha and Omega, nothing that was made was made without you.
I pray that my behaviour will impact the people around me positively and bring glory to you.

Psalm 37:25

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Prayer

I cling to the righteousness of Jesus this day, my seed and I will never beg for bread.
Your divine provision will also be available for us.
Thank you from the depths of my heart. Amen.

Psalm 37:23-24

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Prayer

You are my Lord and King.
I await your instructions, take me to my destiny.
When I fall, I know it is not over because you are on my side.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen

Psalm 37:14-15

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

Prayer

Every missile, obvious and subtle from the enemy and his agents, I return to them by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen

Psalm 37:12-13

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

Prayer

Every plot, every rage from the enemy and his agents shall come to nought in Jesus name.
The season of destruction of the wicked is here.
Their iniquity is now full. They will not escape in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 34:22

The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Prayer

Father, you have already paid the supreme price for my life. By grace it will not be in vain.
As I continue to trust you, I will not be alone, I will not be empty, and I will be in you and with you forever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 34:21

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

Prayer

Let evil come upon all who are wicked.
All who hate righteousness, who decide to follow the ways of evil will end up empty, I pray I will have no part in that in Jesus name. Amen

Psalm 34:19-20

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Prayer

I know afflictions will come.
Lord Almighty, deliver me from all that come my way.
You made me whole, you made me perfect. You are my shield, not one of my bones will be broken in Jesus name. Amen

Psalm 34:18

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Prayer

Hear me O Lord, steer my heart to brokenness.
