1 Corinthians 3:2-3 - I want to grow

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Prayer

Thank you father for all you have given me for my spiritual nourishment.
At times I grew in the word and some times, not.
I pray that everything that has stood against my spiritual growth be removed permanently in Jesus name.
I ask that the meat of the word be given to me so that I start to grow in my relationship with you.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen.

Proverbs 4:25 - Focus on God

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Prayer

Help me to keep my eyes on you O God of grace, focused on you and what you have in store for me.
Help me to block out people who are distractions and are of no benefit to me.
Thank you for your goodness, my Lord and my King in Jesus name. Amen.

Proverbs 4:24 - My lips will not be perverse

Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

Prayer

Help me to keep my mouth in order, not saying things that are contrary to the word of God.
I do not want to lie or say things that will not glorify you.
I also pray that I will not keep the company of people with forward mouths too.
Do help me father.
Thank you my prayer answering father in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Proverbs 4:23 - Help me keep my heart

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Prayer

Help me to be serious in keeping my heart clear of evil influences: nothing bad will go in and evil will not be produced.
Help me to read your word and meditate upon it.
I pray that you will speak to our heart at all times.
Thank you my father and my God in Jesus name, Amen.

Proverbs 4: 20-22 - The centre of my life

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they ate life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Prayer

Give me a heart that attends to your words, a heart that will go all lengths to obey you.
Help me to be sensitive to you, so I will know when you are speaking to me.
Let your Holy Spirit help me to put your words in the centre of my heart.
Thank you Lord for I know your words will be life to me and they will help me live a healthy life.
I have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen

Proverbs 4:14-15 - Keep me from the paths of the wicked

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

Prayer

I ask for the spirit of discernment to help me discern good from evil.
Help me to make the correct choices day by day.
Give me a heart that will run when I come into contact with evil men.
In your infinite mercy let your angels keep me away from evil men.

Proverbs 4:5-7 - Get wisdom

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Prayer

Guide me as I do all I can to get wisdom from you as you are the depository of wisdom.
The word of wisdom is a gift from you, I ask that you bless me so I can be complete.
Give me understanding so as to apply wisdom the way I should.
Let wisdom be in the forefront of my heart so there will be no reason to forget.
Help me Lord, let the words that I speak and the behaviour I exhibit show wisdom.
I pray in the name of Jesus that the wisdom will keep and preserve me in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

1 Timothy 4:14-15 - I will use my gift

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Prayer

Thank you father for the gift you have bestowed upon me.
Help me understand how to use my gift.
Open my inner eyes to see where my gift is needed.
Let the world around me benefit from my gift.
Thank you father for finding me worthy of blessing.
Let your name and your name alone be glorified in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Luke 9:23 - It is not a bed of roses

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Prayer

I want to come after you with all my heart, help me O God.
Help me to understand what it takes to follow you daily.
As the trials and challenges come, help me to remember that Jesus Christ my saviour and many before me have been through this path before and they passed with distinction.
Therefore by your special grace I will carry my cross daily, knowing you will see me through.
Thank you father in Jesus name. Amen.

Mark 16:17-18 - Signs follow those who believe

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Prayer

As I believe the good news, let signs follow me.
Help me identify situations where devils need to be cast out.
Let me remember that the “casting out” can only be done in your name.
I sincerely desire to speak with new tongues. As I open my mouth in faith let new tongues come out in Jesus name.
From this day, if I drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt me in Jesus name.
As I am on the lookout for those who are sick, when I lay hands on them they shall recover in Jesus name. Amen.

Mark 16:15-16 - God says I have to preach the gospel

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Prayer

Lord help me as I obey you and preach the gospel to all I come across.
Open my eyes and my heart to every opportunity that will come my way to preach the good news.
Help me to keep it simple, put the words in my mouth, I must not depend on anybody but you O God.
Prepare the hearts of the creatures I speak to, helping them to believe the good news.
I pray you will make clear to all creatures the consequences of not believing the gospel.

Proverbs 18:21 - I must speak life

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Prayer

Help me to recognise the power that I have.
Help me to be conscious of what I say.
Help me to remember that I have the power to speak life into situations.
I must also remember not to cooperate with the devil by saying things contrary to the will of God for my life.
Thank you father in Jesus name, Amen.

Proverbs 18:10 - My security

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Prayer

Thank you LORD, for you have made your name available to me.
I call on your name this day for protection, for your mercy, for your grace and favour.
As I come, I thank you because every arrow, every plan from the enemy meets with a defense from you.
I live in the knowledge that as far as I am in you, I am safe.
Thank you my father and my God, I have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Genesis 32:24-26 - I will not let you go

And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Prayer

Lord I desire the grace to tarry in the place of prayer.
Let your spirit show me how to engage in winning prayer.
All I am asking is that you hold me by your righteous right hand, let me find favour with you and help me to fulfill my destiny day by day.
My Lord I will not let you go forever, bless me and call me blessed.
Thank you father, I have prayed in Jesus name. Amen.

Colossians 2:15 - Principalities and powers are in disgrace

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Prayer

Thank you for spoiling principalities and powers.
Thank you for disgracing every agent of the devil openly, making clear to all your children that though they roar like lions they are not lions, because you are the lion of the tribe of Judea.
Thank you for victory won for me, ensuring they are all under my feet.
My dear father, thank you for Jesus Christ my saviour. Amen.

Proverbs 4:4, 12-13 - I will live by God's instructions

He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Prayer

Give me a teachable heart.
As I study your words, help me to retain them and live by your commandments.
Day by day as I walk in wisdom I pray I will not fail neither will I fall in Jesus name.

1 Samuel 1:15 - Turn my sorrow to joy

And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

Prayer

I pray that whenever I have grief in my heart, rather than hold on I will come to you and pour out my heart.
I pray I will always remember I have a God that never fails.
I come this day, speaking from the depths of my soul, have mercy on me, see me through. Take every reproach away from me.
Thank you my LORD, I have prayed in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Isaiah 48:13 - Let the heavens work for me

Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

Prayer

Lord, you who created the heavens and the earth, you are the one who knows the length and breadth of your creation; I worship you.
Lord your creation has no choice but to respond to you.
I ask that all you have created work for my good today in the name of Jesus.
My Lord and God, in your tender mercies and goodness, I ask that you call the heavens and the earth to come together and pour out blessings upon me in Jesus name.
I pray that the hosts of heaven respond today and bring my blessings now in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

2 Samuel 22:37-39

Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

Prayer

I thank you for opening my spiritual eyes so I know I am surrounded by agents of the enemy.
I thank you because you have delivered me. My feet are on the Rock of ages so I cannot fall.
Jesus Christ has won all battles for me.
Thank you for the sword of the spirit which you have helped me use to pursue, destroy and defeat the enemy.
Thank you father because I am seated with you, they are all under my feet.
All glory and honour to you. Amen.

2 Samuel 22:36 - Shield of Salvation

Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

Prayer

Thank you for the gift of salvation; I have done nothing to deserve it but out of your grace I have received salvation.
Salvation secures me from the coming judgment and keeps me from the temptations of the evil one.
Thank you for the DNA of gentleness and greatness received from you.
I bless your holy name. I have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 130:2 - Hear my voice O God

Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

Prayer

I ask that you take heed to my voice today and always.
Teach me to pray according to your will.
My father I pray you will be attentive to me, let nothing come between us.
Answer me speedily O God.
Help me so my voice would be respected in heaven. It is me standing in the place of prayer.
Thank you my faithful father in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Revelation 19:5 - Praise God

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Prayer

I join the hosts of heaven to praise our God this day.
I pray for a heart that will want to praise and worship without prompting, a heart where the seeds of praise and worship have been sown.
I pray for the grace to serve with all my heart.
I ask for a heart that will live in reverential fear of the God who is almighty, all knowing and all powerful.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jeremiah 10:10 - The true God

But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

Prayer

Thank you for being my God.
You are the one and only God, you cannot lie, your words concerning me cannot return to you void.
You are the same yesterday, today and forever. Lord you are not made of wood or carved out of stone. You are Almighty.
I thank you Lord for you are alive forevermore.
I pray I will not do anything to incur your wrath and on the judgment day I am with you in heaven. I have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
