2 Kings 25:30 - My Daily Rate

Exposition

And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life – King Jehoiachin had been in captivity for thirty seven years and suddenly his captor decided that enough is enough. He was released and elevated above other kings in Babylon. Above this, he was promised a daily allowance for the rest of his life by King Evilmerodach.

Great news for him, but please remember Exodus 1: 8-14 that there came a time in Egypt when the King who knew not Joseph came to the throne. Recognition and provision by governments can stop or change. Dependence on people or institutions is not a wise move because they can change their minds or they can fold up. All over the world many organisations in existence forty years ago are no more.

The King was given a daily rate all the days of his life by another King. I know of a King who has never changed because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He has promised you a daily rate. The daily rate does not spill over to the next day. Psalm 68:19 says He daily loads us with benefits. The daily rate is daily protection, daily victory, daily lifting up, daily provision and so on and so forth. I invite you to insert whatever blessing you require daily from the King who never changes. He has been doing it daily for children and He will continue to do so.

Prayer

I thank you for my daily rate of blessings. Father, I have used up yesterday’s grace, I need grace to see me through today. My family and I went out yesterday, as we are about to go out today, keep us safe O Lord. I am going out to make a living, grant me my daily rate. My daily rate will not pass me by in Jesus name. Amen

2 Kings 5:15 - Do the impossible

Then he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and he came and stood before him. And he said, "Behold, I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel; so accept now a present from your servant."
Prayer
I ask for a miracle today that will cause the unbeliever to declare “only God Almighty could have done this”.
As in the times of old, do something miraculous that will draw souls unto your kingdom.
Thank you father, I have prayed in the name of Jesus. Amen.

2 Kings 5:10-11 - I will not despise instrucions

And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean."
But Naaman was angry and went away, saying, "Behold, I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call upon the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper.
Prayer
Give me a heart that would receive instructions from your prophets.
With your help, I will not despise any instructions.
Let me be separated from anger from this moment in Jesus name. Amen

2 Kings 5:1 - Every "but" must be healing

Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high favor, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.
Prayer
I thank you because I am great for you have put greatness in me.
Let me receive high favour wherever I go in Jesus name.
The power of God will be with me and in every battle I will be victorious in Jesus name.
Let every "but", every negative in my life receive healing now in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

2 Kings 4:43-44 - I will have enough

But his servant said, "How can I set this before a hundred men?" So he repeated, "Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, 'They shall eat and have some left.'"
So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the LORD.
Prayer
Just as your word says I will always live in plenty. I will have enough to live on in every sphere of life.
My pockets will never be dry.
My pots will never be empty in Jesus name. Amen

2 Kings 25:5, 7 - None will catch me

And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.

Prayer

Let my enemies not catch me.
They will not overtake me in Jesus name.
The obstacles that have been put in my path, I pray they will obstruct those who built them.
My weapons are the word of God. Help me to construct the word such that the word will not be scattered in Jesus mighty name.
My sons will not be captured and killed, for you said you will contend with those who contend with me and you will save my children.
Thank you for victory, thank you for freedom and liberty. Amen.
