Ezekiel 22:30 - Time to Intercede

Exposition

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none – In the times of Prophet Ezekiel, the people did not care about God and His laws. They did as they pleased; murder, idolatry, disobedience, adultery name it and it was the order of the day. The people who should have known better did not do anything about it.

That was then, what is the situation now? The devil is still wreaking havoc because that is what he is about but our Lord Jesus Christ has come to give abundant life.
Sin brings separation between us and God. This is the hedge being mentioned in our text today. When the hedge of protection roundabout the children of God is broken, anything can happen. By our poor choices the door is open to the enemy to do as he pleases.

In these times, there is a need for intercessory prayer. The nations need men and women to rise up in battle against the wiles of the enemy. Cities need prayer, families need someone to make a stand that enough is enough. In Bible times Abraham interceded on behalf of Sodom, we remember that Moses did the same for the people of Israel. This is your chance to write your name in history.
It is always good to repent on behalf of the community as well. The Lord does not want sinners to die in their sin neither does He want nations to be destroyed as well.

It is time to put your hand up and fight rather than continue to allow the enemy to run roughshod over the people and the nation. The easy option is to retreat into your little shell and continue to pray for your personal needs which seem unending all the time. Remember that when it is well in your family or Church or community or nation, it is well with you. Let the battle times be drawn.

Prayer

Let the spirit of prayer rest upon me. Help me Father as I step up to take my place in prayer. Help me Lord so I never give up on my nation. I pray for my nation today, let your mercy reign over us. Let the grip of the enemy be broken in Jesus name. Let the power of sin be bound in Jesus name. Breathe upon our nation. Let revival break out in the cities, let revival break out in the countryside too. Let your name be glorified in Jesus name. Amen

Ezekiel 3: 8 - I am Strong

Exposition

Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads – God was warning Prophet Ezekiel who was on an assignment not to operate on the premise that it would be a bed of roses. In preceding verses God said the Prophet’s audience were a rebellious lot and a stiff hearted people.

Every child of God has a purpose in life but unfortunately the enemy has an agenda to steal, kill and destroy using his many agents. 1 Corinthians 16:9 says that a great door has been opened but there are many adversaries. You should know today that you have the backing of the Almighty God when you are operating wherever He has placed you. On your job, or business, within the family or your ministry there are those who are determined to stare you down and those you do not want your success.

Receive courage and strength for victory. Do not operate in fear. Be assured that no matter how resolute the opposition is, you have been made more resolute than them. No matter how bold the opposition is, you have more boldness in you than they have. Stand on the side of truth and you will overcome.

Prayer

I receive strength to continue on the paths set before me. I receive confidence that I am tougher than the enemy. No matter how hard or stubborn the enemy is, I am made to out-last the enemy. By the grace of God, I will not give up, my voice will be heard and I will be the difference in my generation in Jesus name.

Ezekiel 36: 1 - Every Mountain Must Become Plain

Exposition

Also, thou son of man, prophesy – The Greek word translated Prophesy simply means to “speak forth” or declare the divine will, or to interpret the purposes of God. Without speaking out and declaring the divine will of God in any situation is unknowingly allowing problems persist in the life of children of God. Prophesy is not the exclusive preserve of people who call themselves or are ordained prophets. Psalm 81:10b says open your mouth wide and I will fill it. Make an effort to know the will of God in every area of life, where a trend contrary to His will is happening, start to declare the will of God.

unto the mountains of Israel – Mountains are obstacles or challenges that must be destroyed. You must always remember that Jesus Christ spoke to a fig tree in Matthew 21:18-22 and the tree disappeared. The mountains or the obstructions in your life have ears, when you speak the will of God, they have no choice but to become plain ground.

and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD – There is a word concerning every situation that is confronting you at the moment. Search and locate the word. Believe the word. Speak the word and just as the fig tree disappeared the mountain will disappear in Jesus name. An added confidence that you should have is that Jesus is the Word according to John 1:1. Therefore when you are speaking Jesus into every situation, the situation has no choice but to respond.

Prayer
Lord, help me to know your will concerning every area of my life. Grant me the boldness to speak O God. As I kneel down before you every day, fill my mouth with the exact words that I need to speak.
Every mountain in my life, I command you to become rubble, disappear in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
