Matthew 4:16 - Light will bring deliverance

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Prayer
Let the light of the gospel bring light to all who are held bound by the kingdom of darkness in Jesus name.
In your mercy let all who are dead all over be awakened by your light now and forevermore. Amen

Matthew 3:10 - Go deep down and cut off

 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Prayer
Help me to bring forth good fruit at all times.
Let every possibility of bad fruit coming out of me be cut off permanently in Jesus name. Amen

Matthew 5:20 - Righteousness is key

 

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Prayer

As only the righteous will enter the Kingdom of heaven, help me to focus on living a life of righteousness here on earth.

I know I can't do this by myself, I lean on Jesus to help me in my daily living.

Open my eyes to the fact that heaven is a kingdom and that there is a king who controls entrance into his kingdom.

Help me close my mind to false doctrine that try to encourage me to focus on me and not on you in my desire to enter the Kingdom of heaven.

I have prayed in Jesus name. Amen

Hebrews 9:27 - After death there is judgement

 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Prayer

Help me to understand daily that every man will die and after death I will be judged for all the things I did, the things I should have done but didn't do and even the thoughts that I allowed to pass through my mind.

Therefore let the works of my hands and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you in Jesus name. Amen

Matthew 5:19 - Great in the Kingdom

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Prayer

I want to do and it is my desire to teach others your commandments.

Help me day by day to fulfil your words.

Yes I want to make heaven and in making it by your grace, I want to be called great.

Help me father, and thank you for all opportunities that come my way in Jesus name. Amen

Revelation 22:12 - Reward of righteousness

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Prayer

Lord help me to have only good works registered against by name in Jesus name.

Let me be focused on living a righteous and holy life.

Lord Jesus as you come back to reign on earth, by your grace I pray for a good reward for all my deeds.

The wicked will also receive a reward that is due to them in Jesus name.

1 Chronicles 12:32 - I ask for understanding

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

Prayer

Give me understanding Lord so that I would know what to do at all times.

I want to react to all things with the bigger picture at the back of my mind; responding the way Jesus Christ would have respond.

Help me O Lord. I have prayed in Jesus name. Amen

2 Timothy 2:19 - His foundation is sure

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Prayer

Before the beginning you are God, and you remain to be so.

Thank you for making me a part of your family and giving me your spirit.

I pray with your help I will run from every form of iniquity in Jesus name. Amen

Ephesians 4:14 - I want to mature

 

Then we will no longer be little children, tossed like waves and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people's trickery, or by clever strategies that would lead us astray.

Prayer

Lord I want to be matured so that I would not be taken in by everything I hear or see.

I ask for the spirit of discernment so that I will be able to separate evil from good.

Let all tricksters perish with their father in Jesus name. Amen
